THE ADVANTAGES OF SANDY SOIL

The soft soil will permit an easy and economical construction of a future residence including the installation of the septic tank system due to the low slope which means lower costs overall. The flat sandy surfaces of the lots offer an easy and convivial access to the lake for all to enjoy a pleasant swim and are puddle-free after rainfalls.

A WORD FROM THE PROMOTER

Hello,

It all began in 1925, when my grandparents and a group of friends in their early twenties bought land at Castor Blanc Lake and built a hunting camp using log-construction. The old camp still exists and to this day is inhabited by our family during the summer months.

Born in 1948 and raised in Gatineau, I started coming regularly with my parents to the Castor Blanc Lake camp at a very young age. Passionate about the serenity and beauty the lake has to offer, and as an amateur of trees and wildlife I chose to buy my own land … and in 1999 built a residence.

In 2010, I became involved in the Castor Blanc lake association and was president for five consecutive years. During the same period (2010-2015) I was also president of the association dedicated to the protection of the lakes located on the territory of the MRC of Vallée-de-la-Gatineau.

I had envisioned for many years a change in vocation of the former outfitter “Le Domaine du Castor Blanc” from a commercial entity into an eco-responsible site. Thus the opportunity in 2015 to buy the outfitter, and after four years of careful planning and hard work: the result is the Castor Blanc Peninsula residential project.

Once you have visited the peninsula, studied what the surrounding areas have to offer and read the project standards on our web site; it should be obvious that this project is addressed to a clientele seeking tranquility, believes in the protection of the environment, wants neighbours who share the same values, seeks homogeneity in the building esthetics, and wants to continue to enjoy the beautiful haunting sound of the loons, … forever.

Enjoy your visit and do not hesitate to contact me. I know the project like the back of my hand.
